Misyon: İzmir organik sektörünün saygınlığının ulusal ve uluslararası alanda tanıtım ve gelişiminin sağlanmasında öncü rol üstlenmek; yerel rekabet gücü yaratmak ve başarıya giden yolda inovasyon kavramı çerçevesinde bir rekabet avantajı sağlayarak katma değer yaratan sürdürülebilir bir küme olmak.

Vission: Izmir is a highly respected innovative and competitive supplier of organic raw materials and finished products.

Vizyon: İzmir saygın, yenilikçi ve rekabetçi bir organik hammadde ve gıda tedarikçisidir.

Business cluster strategy: Organic foods as raw material exports continue to meet demand however the target is to realize the change (transition) needed to provide organic food and other non-food final products with high added value to European and other developing markets in the long term by developing the domestic market. To ensure sustainable communication, cooperation and coordination among cluster actors, to develop and carry out joint projects, to contribute to the formation of growth and prosperity regionally and nationally, to increase the visibility of enterprises by effectively taking part in international cooperation networks and platforms and to facilitate access to markets, to increase local and national competitiveness by supporting information exchange and innovative activities among Cluster members.

İş kümesi stratejisi: Hammadde ihracatı talebini karşılamaya devam ederken, organik gıdalar ve gıda dışı ürünler için iç pazarı geliştirerek uzun vadede Avrupa ve diğer gelişen pazarlara katma değeri yüksek organik gıda ve diğer nihai ürünleri sağlayabilmek için ihtiyaç duyulan değişimi (geçişi) hedef almaktadır. Küme aktörleri arasında sürdürülebilir bir iletişim, işbirliği ve koordinasyon sağlamak, ortak projeleri geliştirmek ve yürütmek, bölgesel ve ulusal çapta büyüme ve refah oluşmasına katkı sağlamak, uluslarararası işbirliği ağı ve platformlarda etkin bir şekilde yer alarak işletmelerin görünürlüğünü arttırmak ve pazar açılımını kolaylaştırmak, Küme üyeleri arasındaki bilgi alışverişini ve yenilikçi faaliyetleri destekleyerek yerel ve ulusal rekabet edebilirliği artırmak.

İzmir is home to the second largest port and trade center of the country after Istanbul. With these features, Izmir is one of Turkey's most important export centers. Izmir, the largest city of the Aegean Region with a population of 4.32 million and an area of 11,973 km2 (slightly larger than the island of Cyprus), is located on the Aegean coast, around the Izmir Bay.

The efficiency of natural resources, appropriate temperate climate, with its advanced port and logistics infrastructure, export-oriented business environment and Aegean region with the infrastructure, all the time, Turkey has played an important role in national and regional agricultural economy. In ready state, Turkey based maritime container made out of 55% of export Izmir demonstrates this situation with utmost clarity.

Organic agricultural production is concentrated in Izmir, in Turkey the sake of trade and export of organic products is carried out is considered a part of Izmir in Turkey.

Turkey's organic agriculture and as well as identifying technical standards in product Association of Ecological Agriculture Organization (ETO) and the national coordinator in the export of organic products Aegean Exporters' Association to be built in Izmir, offers organic agriculture and an important knowledge base of the organic food industry.

Ege University Faculty of Agriculture is a focal point for organic agriculture research and projects. Ege University distributes organic, technical and certification advice and information through ETO, Aegean Exporters Associations and other institutions, rather than directly delivering it to farmers, producers and other parties related to the sector.
